My 22nd Birthday

So the ninth of May was my twenty second birthday - eek! The time has gone so incredibly fast it's insane. I decided to have pretty low-key celebrations this year and went out for a meal and drinks with a few friends. I've been rocking the middle part for a week or so on and off - it's an easy way to update your look and disguise the fact that your fringe has all but completely grown out. I really need a haircut. Well, it is my birthday, maybe I ought to treat myself.

I adore this dress - it's so pretty and feminine but it could easily be toughened up with boots and a leather jacket. However, I chose to keep my look somewhat demure with a smart black blazer and my summer staple silver flats.

What I really want ... Bright jeans

Yo Yo guys! As I predicted, the sunny weather was short-lived - it's actually raining outside as I type. So depressing and grey, I need some colour to perk me up. I've always been a leggings girl, but after purchasing my mint jeans, I've been desperate for more colours, and Topshop has answered my prayers with a sale! 

Here's just a few of my favourites from the site. All of these beauties are now a very affordable £25. I'm planning to get the pastel peppermint blue ones, as they are such a pretty colour and will go with loads of stuff.Okay, I know I should probably be looking for dresses and shorts, but I just can't help lusting after these, and they are such lovely summery colours :) Check out Topshop's site for more colours.

 Oh, by the way, remembered when my laptop got stolen from my boyfriend's house? Well I've finally got the insurance money and am now speaking to you lovelies from my brand spanking shiny laptop. It's exactly the same as my old one, it's like it was never gone :3

Mini Haul! Cow, Red and Topshop ;)

So after an unsuccessful morning at uni, Alex and I decided to haul ass to Birmingham to run an errand at some photo printing place. Since we were in town, we guessed there was no harm in dipping into the shops for a little window-shopping. Or shopping shopping, whichever.

This loverly top was from Cow, and cost an amazing £9. Bargainnn. It's so retro, gotta love Cow :')

I'd wanted these jeans for a while, and they fit so well :3 A not so cheap £38 from Topshop, but hey ho. I love the mint green, my favourite colour :D Sadly, the flash does wash out the colour a bit, so I should mention they are brighter than they appear on here :)

Lastly, these awesome studded pumps. £20 from Red.  Aren't they cute? Yeshh there are. I wanted to purchase some black creepers, but unfortunately they had no size threes left. Curse my tiny feet :')

I seriously have to stop spending money, but there's just so many things I want :3 Hope you guys have had a brilliant weekend :)

Today's Look - it's there in Black and White..

I went simple today with plain black leggings teamed with white shirt, tee and my new babies, my creepers. Sorry that my shirt looks a little creased - that's what a long day does to you :'] I really like this t-shirt, the understated corded bib look adds interest to the outfit without overshadowing the draw of my shoes.
The white shirt is such a staple item in any wardrobe, I think everyone needs one. You can wear it alone, throw it over literally anything or even underneath a top or dress.
Just realising how tired I look on this picture :'] In my defence, I had literally no sleep last night and a very early start - not a good mix. There's black and silver sequins all over my floor - I don't own anything with sequins.. how odd xD

Temptation in the form of Topshop

I am drooling over this amazing headpiece. It ticks all my boxes and the feathers add a bohemian vibe, it makes me dream fondly of festivals and the far off summer :3 The chains, spikes and studs are what initially drew me in, I have such a weakness for punky tough accessories :']

I've put a ban on spending for a while as my creepers set me back a bit and I ordered a pair of leggings just yesterday, it's definitely a bit of an addiction. While I lust over this, check out the wonderful range of jewellery at Topshop - I'm not talking just necklaces and bracelets, they now have pieces for literally every body part. Look at this beautiful belly chain and body chain. P.S, expect to see thighlets soon ;D

I think these new pieces are really innovative - Topshop are really letting the creative juices flow and I'm loving it, but what do you guys think?
