'Why' Tee & Pink Leopard Leggings

♦ Tee - River Island ♦ Leggings - Republic ♦ Boots - Hypnotic ♦ Watch - Jeremy Scott for Swatch ♦
I need a new camera so badly. Don't worry, I'll be getting one soon, it's just I haven't quite picked out which one I want. Does anyone have any recommendations? Let me know ☺

I know about 80 per cent of my posts consist of me telling you guys all about the scary business of uni and how stressed I am, but .. yeah, that exactly. I've only been back for three weeks and I'm already praying for the Christmas break. I kid, it isn't that bad, it's just I'm feeling the workload creep up and realising how important this last year is. Certainly scary.

But enough heavy stuff! Do you like my new tee? I already have a 'WHAT' top so I figured I may as well keep the theme going. The weather's getting colder which means I've had to dig out my boots. I love military boots; there was a time when I had at least four pairs but over time they've fallen apart. Rather devastating but at least I still have these lovelies.

What's your go-to A/W item?

Jeremy Scott Fall 2012 Collection

JEREMY SCOTT video lookbook from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.

So Jezza's latest collection is here to view, in a cool video format ☺

I think that my favourite pieces are the amazing multi-coloured keyboard and crazy teddy-bear garments. Directed by Nabil Elderkin (@nabildo), this has gotta be one of my fave fashion vids to date.

Controversy over Jezza Scott's latest shoe

JS Roundhouse Mids.. racist?

As many of you will know, Jeremy Scott is my all time favourite designer because of his craziness and incredible unique ideas and designs. However, recent uproar over his latest shoe design for Adidas has caused the company to recall the product. So what could he possibly have done?

Check out the JS Roundhouse Mid, the latest handcuff design (as a reference to the handcuff's on a children's toy) that was announced in January. The taglines of the shoes are ones such as, 'Tighten up your style with the JS Roundhouse Mids', and 'Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles' However, only recently they have caused offence among many, who saw them as a reference to slavery, due to the chain and shackle look. Adidas defended Scott saying that, 'The design of the JS Roundhouse Mid is nothing more than the designer Jeremy Scott's outrageous and unique take on fashion and has nothing to do with slavery' and apoligised for any offence caused by them, but decided that it was best to cancel plans to make the shoes available on the market.
90's toy, My Pet Monster

Jeremy shared his inspiration for the trainers, a popular 90's toy and TV programme called My Pet Monster, which features similar colours to the design and it's own orange shackles. As the 90's trend is creeping back in, with many designers nodding to the era, you can see what Scott was trying to do. Also, he has said on numerous occasions cartoons are a huge source of inspiration for him, as you can see in his other collections.

So what do you guys think of the shoe? Personally, I really don't think Jeremy was intending to be racist at all. I see where his inspiration was derived and think it's just another one of his crazy designs. However, after the controversy I understand that they were recalled, as both Adidas and Scott have to protect their reputations. But When is it okay to talk about shackles, whips and chains? When it's in reference to sex, it seems fine, but fashion often causes controversy like this. Either way, I'm certain Jeremy meant no offence and was just trying to create a 90's inspired and cartoony design.

What's your opinion on the issue?

LOVE FOR JEZZA! ♥

Wearing bloomers on a sunny day

Yo yo guys! It's been an absolute scorcher of a day, but I'm not gonna complain. We all know how short-lived and disappointing the Great British Summer can be, so I'm soaking up all the sun I can. Still white as a milk bottle as you can see, but hopefully I'll have a glowing sun-kissed tan soon. Either that, or I'll be burnt to a crisp.

I haven't worn these shorts for ages, in fact, I'd kind of forgotten about them. I was searching for my skater skirt but can across these lovely bloomers instead, so threw them on.  They do look like bloomer knickers, but I kinda like that. I like that a lot. I also love the cute card suites pattern on them, and they kept me lovely and cool all day.

Showcasing my nerdy necklace gift today! I really really love it, I think I'm gonna be cracking it out quite often, so expect to see it just hangin' there every now and again :3
I've been searching for fabrics and bits and bobs today so I can keep myself occuiped over the holiday. Got lots of inspiration so stay tuned :)

How's the weather guys? Hope it's as hot as good ol' Brum :)

Today's look - Spring has nearly sprung

Feelin' incredibly sunny over here ;D The weather's seriously perked up this week, here's hoping it will stay now. I pulled out this little number today, every bit the spring/summer dress. I'm not quite ready to get my legs out so I teamed with Henry Holland's for an edgy look.
As it's never certain which way the weather will turn, I wore a little spotty cardigan under my big cardie. I actually think the spot and the bow prints work well together, but I may be deluded ;) My warm woolly cardie is another gem from The Clothes Show. I love the safety pin and chain details on it and it's so casual and gives my look a slouchy, just-thrown-on look. I like that. (Y)
You may have noticed my AMAH-ZHING watch - Jeremy Scott for Swatch, if you please ;D I love Jeremy Scott so much and was literally over the moon to receive this lightening bolt beauty from my wonderful boyfriend on my 18th birthday last May. I've worn it practically everyday since.

I was a very lucky girl last year, as you may recall in my post I'm with the band, I got Irregular Choice heels from my lovely lovely best friend Alex :3 I have some pretty amazing people in my life ♥
