Hey guys! Wow, my hair looks so red on the ends here. I have weird hair - it looks a completely different colour in varying lights. A quick flick through my blog posts and you'll see that, it's really odd. Do I look like I'm wearing a bandage round my head? If it does, I still like it. This OOTD actually is something that's got me thinking.. what's the protocol on wearing heels casually? I often see girls who confidently strut around town in heeled shoes, but I myself have always felt overdressed. I'm currently trying to overcome this for three main reasons 1. I've always loved the look, 2. I'm a short-arse and 3. I've been inspired by one of my favourite vloggers/bloggers Sammi (aka Beautycrush) If you aren't already subscribed to her Youtube or read her blog please do, she's such an inspiration both fashion and life wise.

Anyway, what's your opinion on wearing heeled boots or shoes for everyday? I'm really curious what your thoughts on this are - are heels something that should be left for the night time or is it okay for us girls to wear them out for lectures? I say if it makes you feel good, wear it whatever anyone else thinks!

Denim Appreciation

Yo
I don't look very happy in these pictures, perhaps it's because I'm still getting over my cold. It's pretty much on it's way out, just left with a pesky tickly cough I'm yet to shift. I noticed I haven't done an OOTD post in a while, so here we go ☺

I look a bit stoned  - I wasn't.

I'm hoping my roots are long enough that they kind of look like I've got a two-tone ombre sort of effect going on, whether it does or not is a different story. As you know, I'm trying to grow my reddy brown out, so if it looks like I've done it on purpose that's a huge bonus. I've never been one to care about roots to be quite honest, even when I was a blonde I wasn't overly fussed.

I cannot tell you how much I love my two denim jackets; they are just perfect. Not really for the weather, mind, it's getting so cold and my wardrobe isn't really serving me well to be honest.
I think I shall have to hibernate... ♣

The hair..

Like so many other girls, (and boys) I have kind of over-styled hair. This is mainly due to going blonde, then dark, then hating it so trying to go back blonde again, then changing my mind and going reddy-brown. The poor ends of my hair have suffered for my sins.
I had to be realistic when visiting the salon today - I desperately want ombre brown and blonde hair, but because my ends were so dry, it was just not an option this time. Instead, I went for a natural brown and cut of my dry ends. I had a Taylor Momsen style fringe cut in too and what's great about it is that I can push it to the side or leave it to the front. Now my hair feels silky smooth :)
I'm thinking about getting some funky extensions for the time being, as I'm a big fan of mad hair. For now I'm going to be patient and let my new hair grow a bit more before I start bleaching again :']
Most people say they hate the first wash of a new cut, but I love it as it means I can properly start from scratch and style the way I want to. I always find my hair quite flat and slippery after going to the salon so I can't wait to try styling this look myself ;D

What do you think of my hair and do you have any tips? (:

Kevin Murphy Colour Bug - reviewed.

So I've wanted to try the ombre hair trend for quite some time now, so when Kevin Murphy released these new color bugs, I bought one straight away. The color bug uses 'hair powder' to add temporary colour and comes in a small dome shape applicator that's easy to hold and control.

They come in a choice of orange, purple and pink and because I wasn't sure how it would show on my dark hair I chose purple. It is very easy to apply however it is rather time consuming and messy, I'd recommend draping a towel over your shoulders to protect your clothes as that powder goes everywhere!

It did take me quite a long time to get any sort of noticeable colour on the tips of my hair, but after some perseverance, you can clearly see the results :) I realised after taking the shots they weren't very clear due to the light so I took a some more to show you the vivid colour.
Because of how powdery this product is (my fingers have turned my laptop keys purple :'] ) I don't think it's intended for everyday use. It would look amazing on a night out, party or any other special occasion :D
I'm seriously considering getting my sister to dye my tips now... hmmm.. watch this space ;)
If you'd like to purchase one, you can order them online here
