Bowling & Burgers

I've been bowling today with my boyfriend and his family. And no, I didn't win. In fact, I lost both the games we played and any pins I hit were definitely all flukes. Even so, it was very fun
The one thing that bugs me about bowling though is the shoes. Okay, everyone hates them - knowing how many people have stuffed their sweaty feet in them and the fact your foot always feels mildly moist when you take them off is bad enough. But on top of that, I have tiddly baby feet, and am always the only adult with the children's velcro shoes.
Embarrassing? Just a tad.

Afterwards we had lunch in Frankie and Benny's, which was lovely as my skills in the alley (paha) had worked up an appetite. I munched my way through a whole Mediterranean Veggie burger with fries on the side. Kinda felt I should have had salad on the side as I am trying to be healthier... but let's be honest. Between fries and salad, it's a no-brainer.

I was feeling a bit boring and causal today so dressed down with my H! by Henry Holland giraffe print leggings - which I love but always seem to forget about - and a white shirt over what was one of my holiday crop tops. I really couldn't be bothered to do anything with my hair as I didn't sleep great and was shattered in the morning so I just let it hang loose.

Let's get a close-up on those giraffes

I am fully aware my roots are quite horrifically obvious in these pictures but I'm afraid they're about to get worse. I'm trying to grow my hair out as much as I can as I want it back to my natural brown. They don't really bother me too much, but I just hope they didn't offend your eyes :')

I think I get my first pay tomorrow, so expect me to be splurging! Especially since I now have 15% off at Motel Rocks, and so do all you guys! Just use the code from the banner over there

Cross-dressin'

I often take an item or two from Jack's wardrobe - with or without his permission - and create a (hopefully) wearable outfit with it. I'm totally into the androgynous look and it's always fun to cross-dress ;D It's just a fun little challenge for me :3
These pics were taken after a night at the pub, so the lighting isn't great, but yeah

So today is the turn of Jack's favourite purple shirt. It cost £2.50 from a charity shop. We're quite the thrifty couple to be honest. I teamed it with a bralet, slouchy embellished top and some boyfriend style jeans. For me, the secret to a stylish tomboy outfit is to keep it looking just-thrown-on but making it cute and not too man-ish by girly accessories and hair. I did my hair in a suicide roll and swept it up in a messy side bun.

I love this top - I have to wonder whether the designer was inspired by Jeremy Scott's cross dress. I'm a fan of little tinkly metal things on clothes (even if I do jingle when I walk) and this particular dress is one I've lusted after for ages.

The Dress - oh how I crave ..

Me and my blurry pictures - I always take them at the most inconvenient times, when it's raining or it's pitch black outside :') I'm also thinking about getting a new camera, nothing too fancy, but I've had this one since like Christmas '08. Some rather hideous looking pics of  a 13-14 year old me lurking on there.

Oh by the way guys, the lovelies at Motel Rocks have given me a 15% discount for you guys to enjoy - just use the code on the banner over there   Happy shoppin' ;D

Dressin' up

Jacket just casually thrown on the floor :')

I had planned to take these pictures outside, but unfortunately, it started pouring it down when I finished work, and didn't stop. England, eh. So sorry about that, but hopefully these pictures look alright (: I like taking something smart and wearing it casually, and vise versa. Everyone likes dressing up, so why not do it everyday? :3

I love this colour, it's one of my favourites :3 I picked this little lovely in the online River Island sale for an amazing £7, down from £45! Gotta love a brilliant bargain. Jack and I went to Star City to go watch Ted at the Vue Cinema. It was soooo hilarious, and it made me slightly tearful :') I'd recommend it, fer sure.

I've still got to sort out my uni stuff, like enrolling and whatnot for my second year, but I keep getting distracted by other things. I'll get round to it eventually ;)
Hope you like my latest pretty dress :3

Karmin Style Suicide Roll

I watched the beautiful Amy Heidemann's (the singer from Karmin) hair tutorial on how to do her signature look, the jollily-named suicide roll. Not really sure why it's called that, but it looks so flyy.

As I'm growing my hair, I need new ways to wear it and this is perfect. It's easy to do, even I can do it, and I'm actually awful at doing my hair, so don't worry. I think I'll be wearing my hair like this a lot, so expect to see it :3

Artsy shadow. Woo.

There's apples all over the lawn :')

I'm chilling in my hoodie today, as I officially started my new job today - woop woop :) So yeah, not my most stylish outfit, but incredibly comfortable :3 I love this hoodie to be honest.

Merlin ♥

My kitty cat Merlin snuck into the 'shoot', I had to take the a piccy of him chilling in the sun. If you're lucky, you may be able to see my other kitties, Lola and Freddie lurking in future posts :)

Oh by the way, I hope you like these pictures, I think they're a bit better than my normal ones, don't you? It's sunny, so I thought I'd go outside. The reason I often take pictures in my room mirror is because I'm usually on my way out when I take them, but I'm gonna take time to get some nice pics for you lovely peeps

Check out her other tutorials and singing videos I'm still yet to perfect her amazing faux-hawk, I've watched the tutorial a gazillion times, but sadly I don't think my hair's long enough just yet. Take a gander.. ♣

Pink Leopard and Body Chain

Yoyo!

Hair's lookin' a bit disheveled :')

The weather keeps turning.. the other day it was so warm, like shorts weather. Unfortunately, I'd not waxed my legs for quite some time and they weren't suitable for thee eyes of the public, so I had to opt for leggings. :') But today it's been totally miserable, I miss Cyprus sun. And all inclusive cocktails.

Standin' up straight. Too straight.

Remember my body-chain? I'd forgotten all about it to be honest until I was searching through my room for something and there it was, hidden under all my rubbish. My room is such a mess, it's way too cluttered and I can't actually close my drawers anymore. Yet I'll keep saying I have no clothes. Go figure.

Oh, I almost forgot, Jack found me a tripod the other day, so I will be taking some better pictures :) These were taken by Jack, but I'm planning to make my photographs look a bit more interesting for you guys. Until then, here's me standing in front of a door. Woop woop.

Snakes & Kitties

Yoyo!
Another casual outfit for you (:
This is what I wore to visit my cousin for his birthday

I'm wearing this scarf too much :')
I've been wearing lipstick more often these days; I usually opt for my favourite pop light pink.
Recently, I've been braver and using my bright red lippie. I think it goes really well with this retro look hairstyle. I've also bought a shimmery nude pinky colour, which is the perfect winter shade.

Shame it's summer, eh :')

Bit blurry, camera's being odd

How'd you like my Charlotte Olympia-esque kitty flats? They could be the genuine article, righ'? If I could, of course I'd get the real things, but the five hundred and something price tag is somewhat out of my budget..  I really loved her pumps when I saw them last year and finally decided to get some similar as they are so cute

90's hip hop

My mom's mirror is better than mine.
I found these old leggings hiding in the bottom of my drawer and decided to sew 'em up as they had a few rips in them. I refuse to discriminate against ripped clothes.

Haven't worn my Glam Pie Pastry trainers in quite some time, so I thought I'd crack them out. I'm feeling the 90's hip hop look (think Will Smith, Fresh Prince era) so I'm on the lookout for more tops such as this one.

Check out my G-Dragon style earrings!
I think they make the look even more retro-y, which is always good :3 Oh, and if you haven't heard of GD, please watch this .. you're welcome ;)

Casual Maxi Skirt

Yoyo :)
This is what I wore to go see the latest Batman film The Dark Knight rises
I am aawwn that Bale ting ;D
He's still looking sexy in this film, just so you guys know ... ;)
Superheros are hot. Super hot.

The weathers kinda warm but not sunny, so I thought I'd crack out the maxi skirt. I absolutely love my maxi, it goes with everything, even this slouchy tee.

My fringe is getting irritating, so I'm doing a retro throwback and quiffing it up, John Travolta Grease style ;)
Have you seen The Dark Knight Rises? What did you think?

New ID Studios Photoshoot

Today was the day of our photoshoot and make-over at New ID studios in Birmingham!

We look like X Factor judges :')

Me, Laura, Natalie, Alex

We got totally pampered - we each had stylists how did our hair exactly as we liked, a make-up artist and then it was time for the shoot. The foundation - i-perfection - is amazing.

The photographer was really friendly and the photos turned out great (:
Hope you like 'em as much as we do ..♣

Cyprus times - Week in outfits

Actually, I've kind of lied. It's not really a 'week in outfits'. It's kinda more of a 'random assortment of outfits'.

Unforntunately, I've been seriously unorganised and failed to keep track of daily outfits, so I'm not gonna be able to give you a day-by-day look, as some of the days are kinda missing, but I'll try and make this as coherent as possible :3

Day Time

Despite our pug face in the pic, I actually very happy. No really. So squinty - where were my sunnies?
Jack decided to stylishly hook them on his shirt, bold fashion choice, but perhaps not so practical. Anyways, this is me rocking my charity shop top (though who could tell?) and almost cheek offending shorts.  Luckily, they are just long enough to hide my buns. Woop.

Motel Vintage at Topshop  - photo by Alex :3

Keeping it casual on our first day in Cyprus. The humidity made my hair go loco, so I tended to just tie it up in a bun, like sooo.

I'm totally working the windswept look here. However, there was not even a slight breeze in Cyprus, so I'm not exactly sure how I pulled that one off. Hmm. Wish I had a better picture, but these are my bloomer style river island shorts - perhaps my most comfy shorts ever - and my loose tee. Oh and FYI, my purse got a tan. I don't even ...

Evening Wear

This was our first evening in Cyprus and both Alex and I went for print maxis. This was the dress I was referring too by the way, the one that's way too exotic for Birmingham town :')

Can you believe this top was £2.99 from a charity shop? Hidden gem or what. We both went for the maxi look on the evenings, 'cause it just felt more elegant :3 Check out Pons' silky crop. I love that colour.

Jack - dressed exactly the same as he does in England

I was totally thinking about doing a feature called what Jack's wearing - but I think it may get slightly boring as he is basically an outfit on repeat :'). He has about a million shirts in almost exactly the same colour and an endless supply of black tees. He's a stubborn one.

Swimwear

This swimsuit is from Kelly Brook's collection at New Look. I'd been on the lookout for a cossie with a little skirt and this one was perfect.

I love this picture :') And this bikini. This was taken just before we took a little trip out on a pedalo :3

So sorry that I don't have much to show you, but hopefully you'll like what you see anyways ☺
And that's my Cyprus adventure, all neatly wrapped up :D

Cyprus Times - GUABA♥

As soon as we drove past Guaba on our way to the hotel, we knew we had to go there. How could you not? The outside decor with it's jungle theme and crazy clowns was enough to draw me in, but I also noticed that it was ranked 20 on the World's Bars. I now know why.

Unfortunately, we missed the famous Guaba Sunday beach party as it finished earlier than we expected, but we stepped out the following evening for reggae night, which lasted until 2.30am. It was a chilling vibe within the bar, it's really dark on the inside with a few coloured flood lights. It overlooks the beach which you can get down to and lie on beds.

Shisha Pipe

You can also have a shisha pipe there. Since we were on holiday, we thought we'd have a go, new experiences and all that ;). The apple flavour tastes like apple laces.

I wish I had more pictures to show you, but trust me, if you ever find yourself in  Limassol, you'll wanna check out this bar. Have a look at more pictures here.. ♣
